Crosshatched Pottery 5-8 years & 8-12 years workshops

Want to try your hand at pottery? At ArtPlay see Manohar and Aasha (traditional potters of Kumhaargram, India) demonstrate how they make large pots on their traditional pottery wheel; then make your own small pot on these same wheels with their help. Kids can learn how to decorate using techniques such as carving and painting. Artworks at the end of the workshop will be taken away to be fired and returned to ArtPlay to take home at a later date.

Air Camp

Kids will work alongside artists to create colourful inflatable sculptures to express their perspectives and invite conversations on what you care about.

These sculptures will then be attached to a larger world of interconnected tents, creating a landscape of ideas that you can journey through.

Artists: Daniele Poidomani, Nick Barlow, Nick Wilson and Suzanna Kalk. Air Camp is a two-day workshop; kids must attend both sessions. Please bring a drink and a nut-free lunch and snack on both days.

Micro world lanterns
