Melbourne’s winter nights will come to life with the new-look White Night Reimagined Melbourne, running from 22–24 August 2019. This year’s White Night Reimagined looks a little different from previous years, it’s been moved from Summer to Winter and now runs over three consecutive nights. Last year’s event attracted over 700,000 people in one night, so I think the changes will be welcomed by families around Melbourne.

This years program will include spectacular projections, art installations and large-scale live performances with music. Families can enjoy White Night Reimagined in three key locations around Melbourne – Carlton Gardens, Treasury Gardens, and Birrarung Marr. Each garden will be transformed into its own realm as artists from across Melbourne and the globe will take visitors on journeys mythological, mysterious and mesmerising.
There will also be some of Melbourne’s favourite cultural Institutions joining in on the fun – National Gallery of Victoria, State Library Victoria, Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Museum and the Royal Exhibition Building.
Birrarung Marr will feature extraordinary acrobatic performers, aerial artists, projections, storytelling, stilt walkers, nineteenth-century marching band and drummers.
