Kid-friendly Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2019

This year the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is jammed packed with kid-friendly entertainment. Running from 27 March until 21 April 2019 at various locations around Melbourne. The month-long festival will showcase – The (Very) Big Laugh at Federation Square and Melbourne Museum Plaza, Comedy Club for Kids at The Famous Spiegeltent and Chadstone Paradiso Spiegeltent.

Pedro creates a real-life silent movie before your eyes! A visual treat for all the family that will entertain and amaze.

Biggest Little Circus (NZ) 5–7 April

An action-packed, high energy explosion of big, bold street theatre! This show is full of audience interaction, a whole lot of kiwi charm and plenty of lycra. Hosting the Fed Square Main Stage for one weekend only.

Cho Kairin, The Chinese Acrobat (China) 9–14 April

For the first time Cho Kairin, King of the Chinese Acrobats, will have Melbourne in awe as he perfectly performs a variety of dangerous skills.

Daisy The Cheerful Vampire (USA) 12–20 April

Daisy is a magical, macabre vampire who performs acts of death-defying comedy with her human servant, Trevor Shadow Wingtip. Utterly weird and wonderful!

Celeb Five (South Korea) – Fri 19 April
An Australian premiere of the outrageously deadpan, YouTube sensations! An all-female, all-famous Korean comedy dance group performing a special ONE OFF performance on the Fed Square Main Stage!

The Listies (Australia) – Fri 12 & 19 April
Gratuitous, ridiculous, hilarious, and possibly hazardous, Melbourne’s maestros of kids’ comedy will host The (Very) Big Laugh Out across two Fridays on the Fed Square Main Stage. Joined by a cavalcade of local and international acts including The Birdmann, Head First Acrobats, Banana Lightning, Don’t Mess with the Dummies, Double Denim, Tessa Waters, Clara Cupcakes and Paul Currie (N.IRL).

Comedy Club For Kids at The Famous Spiegeltent at Arts Centre

Comedy Club for Kids offers a supersized variety line-up from stand-up and sketch to musical comedy and circus. There’s something for everyone and lots of laughs to be had!

Hosted by Grandma (Nikki Britton) and Berlin’s Prince and Princess of Punk Rock Otto & Astrid from Die Roten Punkte and featuring Tessa Waters, Xavier Michelides, Paul Currie (N.IRL), Anna Pocket Rocket, Josh Glanc, Dr Professor Neal Portenza, Alex The Magician, Head First Acrobats, Double Denim, and more! Suitable for audiences aged 6-12 years.

Comedy Club For Kids at Chadstone Paradiso Spiegeltent

Comedy Club for Kids is coming to Chadstone. Hosts Josh Earl and Tessa Waters will be joined by a cavalcade of the best circus, musical comedy, sketch and stand-up from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Suitable for audiences aged 6-12 years.
