Melbourne International Comedy Festival for Kids 2022

Melbourne International Comedy Festival will have the whole family giggling with its jammed packed kid’s entertainment. Running from 30 March until 24 April 2022 at various locations around Melbourne. The month-long festival will showcase – Comedy Club for Kids at The Famous Spiegeltent, The (Very) Big Laugh Out! at Fed Square and Melbourne Museum Plaza and plenty of other family-friendly shows.

Comedy Club for Kids

Comedy Club for Kids is the ultimate treat to captivate junior comedy fans aged six to 12. This supersized variety show is designed to delight, including stand-up and sketch, musical comedy and circus skills. The best street and stage performers will deliver barrels of laughter with a line-up featuring Otto & Astrid, Tash York, Lauren Bok and Dane Simpson to name a few.

The (Very) Big Laugh Out

The (Very) Big Laugh Out returns to Fed Square Main Stage and Melbourne Museum from 1 April through to 24 April 2022. This year includes seven very special Dino’s Got Talent shows, where familiar Festival faces battle and tumble it out as their favourite dino-stars at Melbourne Museum.

An action-packed line-up fills the much loved (Very) Big Laugh Out, with performances across the Fed Square Main Stage and Melbourne Museum this year including Anna Pocket Rocket, Annie Louey, Clara Cupcakes, Dane Simpson, Garry Starr, Lauren Bok, Oliver Coleman, Patrick Collins, Tash York, The Listies, The Travelling Sisters and many more.

Wantok is a cultural comedy like no other, where indigenous song and dance performed by Sean Choolburra, Alyson Joyce and Sean Murphy will aim to open kids’ minds to the compelling history of their native land. The program is suited to audiences aged five to 12 and will see theatre and fun come together in an interactive show to illuminate the past and present of Australia and Papua New Guinea.
