Mother’s Day Classic

Grab your running shoes and head down to the Royal Botanic Gardens to support women and their families who have been affected by breast cancer. The Mother’s Day Classic over the years has raised an incredible $35.3 million and funded more than 64 breast cancer research projects across Australia.

“Mother’s Day Classic is not about breaking speed records. We are all about delivering a fun and inspirational community event that involves celebrating and supporting those touched by this disease”.
MDC Foundation CEO Sharon Morris

Participants can choose from a 4km or 8km run or walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens, with the finish line on St Kilda Road. Be quick to register before entries close on Friday 10 May 2019. On the day there will a minute of silence and survivor wave before the run/walk to honour and recognise a special group of people who have been touched by breast cancer – survivors, friends and family.

The main stage will host warm-up aerobics, entertainment and spot prizes. There are plenty of activities to keep the kid’s entertained with the Kids zone which will have inflatable jungle maze game, giant Jenjo, giant quoits, strike bowling, handball, face painting, petting zoo, popcorn and fairy floss.

The Mothers Day Classic is hoping to reach their goal of $2.1m for life-saving breast cancer research. If running and walking isn’t your thing, then please donate to Mothers Day Classic Donations.
