Frankston Arts Centre is hosting their first-ever Kids Fest in the Spring School Holidays. Featuring a program of playful circus performances, hilarious comedy shows, workshops and an art competition it’s an event not to be missed. The Kids Fest will run from Monday 23 September – Tuesday 1 October 2019 at the Frankston Arts Centre.

Kids Fest at Frankston Arts Centre

Grand Pawtrait Competition

Do you have a budding artist in your family? The Grand Pawtrait Competition gives kids the opportunity to win great prizes for entering a piece of artwork of their best pet-friend. Entries will be hung at Cube 37 Gallery. Competition closes on Saturday 7 September 2019, so ensure that you collect your entry pack.

Celebration event and winners announced on Saturday 21 September 3–5pm 2019.

FoRT

Asking for Trouble presents FoRT a circus and physical theatre production, which delves into the art of play and the creation of worlds from everyday objects. The show is full of ridiculous clowning, spectacular acrobatics. and poetic visual imagery. It celebrates the kind of kid genius who turns lounge rooms into volcanoes, trees into castles and cardboard boxes into racing cars. Suitable for ages 4–12 years.

Inspired by Picasso’s true story, this beautiful show Picasso and his Dog celebrates the animals with whom we share our lives while exploring what it is to be creative and to create. Picasso’s dog ‘Lump’ appeared in 54 of the artist’s works. Lump lived with Picasso for 16 years. In a perfect ending, perhaps not content with life on earth without each other, both died in the same year. Suitable for ages 4+
