Firelight Festival 2025 will transform the harbourside precinct into a vibrant playground of flame, light, music, and food from 4 - 6 July 2025. This free, family-friendly event invites visitors to embrace the magic of winter with immersive experiences across NewQuay Promenade, Victoria Promenade, and Harbour Esplanade.

Fire Performers & Flame Features
Watch the night come alive with flame jets, fire pits, roving fire twirlers, and breathtaking fire sculptures lighting up the waterfront.
Live Music & Performances
Enjoy a diverse line-up of live entertainment each night:
Junkyard Beats – High-energy percussion using recycled materials. Umbra Moon – Dreamy live looping and atmospheric soundscapes. Gretta Ziller – Soulful country and folk tunes. Ziyue Pipa – Traditional Chinese pipa performances. Street Performance Australia – Interactive street acts and roving performers. Welcome to Country – A meaningful ceremony to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land.
Light Installations by Amanda Parer
Three monumental inflatable sculptures will light up Docklands:
Man – A 12-metre-tall reflective figure floating on Victoria Harbour, inspired by Rodin’s The Thinker. Over – A curious giant peeking over the Library at the Dock. Poke – A 14-metre-long playful figure lounging near the waterfront.
Interactive Experiences for All Ages Neon Swings – Swing into the night on glowing neon seats, perfect for families and selfies. River of Giants – A neon-lit play space where giant Australian animals come to life. Neon Face Painting – Add a sparkle to your night with UV-reactive designs.
Cultural Performances
Don’t miss FireLily Dance, delivering two shows:
Luminosity – A dreamlike dance blending light and movement. Fire Ensemble – A fiery display of dance and flame, evoking phoenixes and mystical creatures.
