Fencing with Lightsabers

Discover the history of fencing and take part in an active session of this strategic sport—a great workout for both body and mind. For young padawans, your Jedi training begins here. You'll start by learning the art of fencing with traditional foils before applying those skills with lightsabers. Foils, masks, and lightsabers are provided.

Coppersmithing

Explore the properties of metal by shaping a bowl or forging a bangle through heating and hammering with Gasworks resident sculptor Benjamin Storch.

Slime, Sherbet & Bubbles
30 September 2024
Engage in fun science for active kids as we explore everyday chemistry in a whole new way! Create gigantic bubbles and discover the science behind them, make tasty sherbet and experience a chemical reaction in your mouth, launch a rocket and see which variable affects its height, and whip up some gross slime.

Songwriting From Scratch
1 October 2024
Join Gasworks Resident Artist Lucy Rash, a renowned songwriter, string arranger, and performer, as she shares her top tips and tricks for writing your own song from scratch. You'll learn how to generate initial ideas, and explore DIY recording and releasing your work. This workshop is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to those with some songwriting experience.

Sculpture Houses with Gardens
