Circa returns to Arts Centre Melbourne with their internationally acclaimed acrobatic masterpiece, Humans 2.0, running from 14–24 May 2025 in the Playhouse.
Fresh from celebrating their 20th anniversary, Circa continues to push the boundaries of contemporary Australian circus, blending movement, dance, theatre, and extreme physicality to create deeply emotive experiences.
Renowned for redefining circus as an art form, Circa has mesmerised audiences in over 45 countries, reaching more than two million people. Under the visionary direction of Yaron Lifschitz, Humans 2.0 builds on the success of its predecessor, Humans, which explored the physical limits of the human body. This next chapter is a raw, primal, and deeply immersive performance that questions whether balance is ever truly attainable or if adapting to change is the only way forward.
Audiences will be spellbound as ten acrobats appear in bursts of light, move in perfect unison, and then dissolve into a hypnotic trance. Bodies soar, collapse, and reform in breathtaking strength and fragility. With tightly woven choreography set to Ori Lichtik’s pulsating score and revealed through Paul Jackson’s dramatic lighting, Humans 2.0 is a symphony of acrobatics at its most intense.
