The Malahang Night Lantern Festival 2025 will transform Malahang Reserve into a breathtaking illuminated wonderland over two magical nights on 21–22 March 2025 from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Wander through an interactive display featuring over 50 large-scale glowing lanterns, including gum nuts, snakes, echidnas, wombats, emus, frogs, goannas, turtles, platypuses, butterflies, moths, and caterpillars—designed by the renowned artist The Lanternist.
As night falls, don’t miss the Neon Ngargee performance at 9 pm, a stunning celebration of Kulin Nations dance and song, choreographed by award-winning director Amos Roach, where dancers painted in neon and ochre come to life under black lights.
Get hands-on with lantern-making workshops, using 100% post-consumer recycled paper, and take home your own glowing creation. Enjoy a night of entertainment with fire breathers, roving performers, neon face painting, and even neon mini golf.
Perfect for all ages and abilities, this vibrant festival blends art, culture, and light into an unforgettable experience.
