Shadow Puppetry Workshop: Playing With Light

Step into the magical world of shadow puppetry and watch your drawings come to life on stage!

Join experienced puppeteer Jenny Ellis for a creative, hands-on workshop where children will explore the art of storytelling through shadow play. Participants will imagine, design, and build their own unique puppet characters, then learn how to bring them to life using light and movement.

Working in small groups, children will craft their own mini shows—learning puppetry techniques and performance skills along the way. The workshop concludes with a performance on a real shadow puppet stage, where children will present the stories they have created.

Each child will also take home the puppet they have made.

Recommended for ages 4–12.
