Come face-to-face with Victoria the T.Rex, one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons ever discovered, dating back 66 million years. This is your final opportunity to view this iconic fossil before Victoria departs Melbourne. Don’t miss the closing weekend celebration on 19–20 October 2024, featuring special family activities to say goodbye to Victoria in style.

At Melbourne Museum’s permanent exhibition, Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs, families can closely examine Horridus, a Triceratops, one of the most complete dinosaur skeletons in any Australasian museum. This significant paleontological find is showcased with large-scale projections that highlight the specimen’s 266 bones, including its distinctive trio of horns and full vertebral column. With 85% of its skeleton intact and weighing approximately 1,000 kg, Horridus offers a rare and detailed view of the prehistoric world.
Tiny dinosaurs are hidden throughout Melbourne Museum, and your task is to find them all. Search the museum to discover 100 small dinosaurs, including 11 dinosaur sticker clues and the elusive Crystal T. rex. This activity will test your patience and observation skills as you explore the exhibits.
