Logging in and registration

I'm having problems with logging in, what should I do?

  • Make sure you have registered for a Kiddiehood account.
  • Double-check your user name and password has been entered correctly (check your caps lock).
  • Be sure to enter the reCAPTCHA correctly.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password on the login page.
  • If you’re still having issues logging in, please contact Kiddiehood via the contact us page.

Facebook and Google+ log in

You can use your Facebook or Google+ account to login to kiddiehood.com.au Our system will receive your information from Facebook or Google+

What is the difference between a customer account and a business account?

By registering a customer account, this allows you to bookmark your favourite listings and post reviews within the directory.

By registering a business account, this allows you to excess everything within our directory including posting a listing.

Can I change from a customer account to a business account?

There are two types of registered accounts on Kiddiehood – Customer and Business Owner. You will need to have a Business account to add a listing. The account type can be changed via the Account Details page > Account Type > switch to Business Owner.

How can I reset my password?

To reset your password head to your dashboard > account details > change password. The new password must be more than 8 characters long, we also recommend it to contain numbers, symbols, capital letters and lowercase letters.

Searching kiddiehood

HOw to search for places, shops and events on kiddiehood?

There are several ways you can search for places, events and shops on our directory:

  • You can search by using the search bar on the home page. Enter the name in the first field (What are you looking for?) eg. Play Centre. Then enter the category eg. Activities. If you are not sure of the category, please leave it as ‘all categories’. Then enter the location you would like to search eg. St Kilda. The location distance will automatically set to a 20km radius around the specified location, you can increase or decrease this on the explore listings page filter settings.
  • You can also use the explore button located at the top of each page to access the advance search filters.
  • When searching for an event, users can add a date range.

What categories are available on kiddiehood?

Each directory has a set of categories and some have sub-categories.

Place categories include Arts and Culture, Kids Activities, Swimming Pools, Playgrounds, Skate Parks and Bike Tracks, Attractions, Farms and Orchards, Classes, Education, Kid-Friendly Cafés, Health Services, Party Venue and Hire, Sports Clubs, Zoos and Wildlife Parks.

Event categories include Festivals, Markets and Fairs, Workshops and Programs, Sporting Events, Theatre and Musicals, Exhibitions, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Open Day, Live Shows and Concerts, School Holidays and Community Events.

Shop categories include Body and Beauty, Books and Stationery, Clothing and Accessories, Entertainment, Feeding and Changing, Furniture, Gifts, Home and Outdoor, Maternity, Party Supplies, Prams and Carriers, Safety, Toys and Hobbies.

I can't find what i'm looking for

When searching for places, events and shops on Kiddiehood be sure to use keywords in the search form or search by category. Extend the location distance to search larger areas around Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Listings

how to save listings of interest to me?

You can bookmark any of the listings by clicking on the heart icon or bookmark tab. You must be logged into your Customer Account or Business Account to save listings.

how can I leave a review?

Each listing has the opportunity to leave a review. You can find the ‘leave a review button’ on the top half of each listing. You must be logged into your Customer Account or Business Account to leave reviews.

All reviews are reviewed by our admin team. They may be deleted if marked as inappropriate or offensive. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more information on reviewing guidelines.

Can I hide my name from my review?

When posting a review for a listing, the review will display your user name, date and review. There is no way to hide your user name from the review.

Can I delete my review?

Please contact our admin team via the contact us page if you would like to delete your review from Kiddiehood.

How can i report a listing?

You can report a listing by clicking on the report link within the listing details. You must be logged into your Kiddiehood account before reporting a listing. This will bring the listing to our attention, so we can review it and remove from the site if necessary.

Location

Why can't I see the maps on Kiddiehood?

We use Map Box for all of our maps on Kiddiehood. You will need iOS 5.0.0 and above or Android 8.0.0 and above for maps to work.

How do I enable my location settings?

If you are receiving an error message on the search form ‘You must enable location to use this feature’, this means that your geolocation is turned off. Changing your location settings will allow Kiddiehood to load your location so you can search for local places, events and shops easily and efficiently. Listings

Does my listing need to be kid-friendly and based in victoria?

All listings must be kid-friendly (babies to teenagers). If you would like to post a shop listing, shops can sell anything kid or baby related.

Our main traffic source comes from mums who live in Victoria. Events and places must be located within Victoria. Shops who are based in other states within Australia must be able to deliver to Victoria.

How to add a listing

  • Login to your business account and click on the add a listing button.
  • Choose the type of listing you would like – place, events or shop.
  • Choose a package that best suits your business.
  • Fill in all your business information and upload your images.
  • Preview your listing and submit when you are happy with it.
  • You will be re-directed to our check out page, please make sure all the information is correct and proceed with the payment.

Can I link an event listing with a place or shop listing?

Yes, you can link an event with a place or shop listing. When filling out the listing details, the last option on the form allows you link to one of your active listings.

How many listings can I post?

You can post as many listings as you like.

What if my business doesn’t belong in any categories?

It’s best to choose a category that is the closest category to your business. If you feel that your business doesn’t belong in any of the categories please send us an email via our contact us page.

I can’t find my listing? Reasons why your listing may not be visible

  • All listings on Kiddiehood will need to be approved by our admin team. The approval of listings should be completed within 48 hours.
  • Your listing may have expired; listings expire after a set amount of time on Kiddiehood.
  • Your listing may have been removed for a posting violation, please check our Listing Rules.
  • If you are still having issues, please contact Kiddiehood via the contact us page.

How will i know when my listing is live?

Once a listing has been approved by our admin team, you will receive an email confirming that your listing has been approved and is now live.

can i track the performance of my listing?

Yes, each listing has up-to-date statistics including – views, unique views, devices used, top countries, top referrers, top platforms and top browsers used. Listing statistics can be found in your account dashboard.

Why can't I select the FREE trial package?

The FREE trial listing is a great way to test how your listing performs over a year. There is one FREE trial listing per business and is only valid for place and shop listings.

Can i switch my listing package while it is live?

Yes, you can switch your listing package while it is live, but there is no refund for any outstanding time left on the current package. You will be charged the full amount of the new listing package.

How can i edit my listing?

To edit your listing, click on your user name and select my listings from the dropdown menu. You can edit all your listings in this area. Once you are happy with the updates, save your changes.

How can i save a draft of a listing?

Yes, you can save a draft of a listing. When a Business adds information to a new listing and clicks on the ‘Preview’ button, this will have a draft of the listing. To resume editing of the listing, head to your dashboard and click on my listings, then click on the drop-down menu all listings > preview. You can then select the listing to resume the submission.

How can I extend my listing?

All listings will receive an expiring email, 3 days before the listing expires. The email provides a link to re-list your listing.

I’m having problems uploading my images, what can I do?

All images uploaded on Kiddiehood will need to be in a jpeg or png format. Businesses can upload one cover image, one logo image and three gallery images per listing. Each image should not exceed 2MB each. If images are too large please reduce the size of the image before you upload. Please contact us if you are having problems re-sizing and uploading images.

How long will my expired listings stay in my dashboard?

All listings that have been active on Kiddiehood stay in the expired listing tab of the dashboard for 12 months, after that they will be deleted from Kiddiehood. Listings can be re-listed at any time via the relist button in the account dashboard.

What can i find in my business account dashboard?

Business accounts have an easy to navigate dashboard where you can access information on your published and pending listings, active promotions and statistics.

How to get the best result from my listing?

To receive the best results from your listing its best to use landscape/horizontal images for the cover image and gallery images. Portrait images may be cropped and important content may be cut off. Images can not have any text or logos over them. We do not allow banners, posters, flyers or images with white backgrounds. High-resolution images are best so there is no pixelation.

How can I delete/cancel my listing?

You can delete a listing via the dashboard > my listings > delete. Please be sure you are 100% sure about deleting your listings as you can’t get it back once deleted.

What if I don't like the review a customer has left for my business?

All reviews are approved by our admin team before being published on Kiddiehood. They must meet our reviewing guidelines before being approved, please send us an email via the contact us page if you believe that the review goes against our guidelines.

Listing – Payment

Do you offer discounts for not for profit organisations?

If you run a registered not for profit organisation, please send us an email via our contact us page.

how can I pay for my listing?

All payments for listings and promoted listings are processed through STRIPE Payment Processing Platform.

Why have i been redirected to a shopping cart for a free trial?

All listings will need to be processed through our payment system (STRIPE). The FREE Trial listing will still need to be processed at the price of $0. You will not be charged at the checkout.

Do you offer discounts for festivals with multiple events?

We love supporting festivals around Victoria, please send us an email via ourcontact uspage to discuss possible partnerships.

can i get a refund for my listing?

Please contact Kiddiehood via our contact us page if you are not happy with the service provided.

Can i purchase a listing by other payment options?

All our payment options for Kiddiehood are set-up through STRIPE Payment Processing Platform. If you are unable to use Stripe or would like to use another payment option please send Kiddiehood an email via our contact us page.

Featured and promoted listings

How can I get more exposure for my listing?

To increase your chances of being seen on Kiddiehood we offer ‘Featured Listings’ and ‘Promoted Listings’.

Featured Listings are purchased when selecting a listing type package. Featured listings are valid on ‘place and shop’ listings only. Featured listings are featured on the home page and up to two category pages.

Promoted Listings are purchased after a listing is live. You can promote your listing via the dashboard > your listings > promote. There are two options for promoting listings – 14 days or 30 days. Promoted listings are featured on the home page and up to two category pages.

Your promoted listing will display a promote icon on the top left-hand side of your listing. When the promoting period has finished your listing will return to a standard listing.
