The 2024 Tesselaar Tulip Festival is back, and it’s set to be a family favourite once again! From Saturday, 14th September to Sunday, 13th October 2024, the festival will transform Silvan in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges into a vibrant sea of over one million tulips. This annual event is not just about stunning blooms; it also offers a rich mix of cultural and family festivities, making it the perfect outing for all ages.

Family fun at Tesselaar Tulip Festival 2022

Children’s Week
23 – 26 September & 30 September – 4 October 2024

Children’s Week features an awesome lineup of family fun, including Live shows; Sesame Street – Elmo and Friends Week One of the holidays and Week Two, Peppa Pig comes to visit. The Fairy will be back with intriguing tales in the Fairy Garden. Kids can touch and learn about Australian wildlife from Black Snake Productions. There are also free Dance Workshops and kids can test out their powers of observation on a Treasure Hunt.

Food, Wine, and Jazz Weekend
27 – 29 September 2024

Savour local foods and beverages while enjoying jazz music.

Rock the Fields Weekend
5 – 6 October 2024

Dance to 50s and 60s tunes with live music and food trucks.

Irish Weekend
12 – 13 October 2024

Enjoy the last blooms with a Guinness or Kilkenny as the festival wraps up.

When does the Tesselaar Tulip Festival open?
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival opens from 10 am to 5 pm every day between September 14th to October 13th 2024 – including the Grand Final Public Holiday.

Are children FREE?
Yes, children aged 16 and under enter free when accompanied by an adult, so there’s no need for a ticket.
