The official flag raising ceremony hosted by the Premier of Victoria and attended by other dignitaries, kicks off the formal celebration of Australia Day. Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne. 10.30am – 11.00am
Following the official flag raising ceremony, there will be a vibrant display of our diverse community with more than 1,000 participants from over 80 community and cultural groups taking part in Melbourne’s annual Australia Day Parade.

The RACV Australia Day Festival in Kings Domain Gardens is held after the Australia Day Parade, FREE family focused activities, displays from a broad range of community groups and the 2019 RACV Australia Day Heritage Vehicle Showcase.
Enjoy the festive atmosphere in the Food Truck Park, main stage program complete with kids yoga, bands and our headline act, Justice League.

Australia Day at Docklands will keep the family entertained with roaming artists, entertainment and markets. Launching in 2019, Great Australian Bites comes to Docklands, showcasing mouth-watering treats curated for Australia Day.
Docklands is a fresh place to dine and the best vantage points to enjoy the Australia Day fireworks; the spectacular display begins at 9.00pm.

An evening of music and entertainment, supporting the recipients of the City of Whittlesea Australia Day Awards. A FREE, inclusive event which culminates in a spectacular fireworks display 9.15pm.
Live music by Motor City Sounds.

Welcoming our new citizens on Australia Day with a free BBQ lunch and Aussie bush band at MC Square.

Australia Day Festival – The event is jam-packed full of multicultural performances, with roving live entertainment, circus and magic acts, community and market stalls, exciting rides (costing $2 – $6), the Kinder-Gym, marshmallow toasting with the CFA and Noble Park Scouts, FREE family activities and, of course, the fireworks finales at 9.25pm.

Lots of FREE children’s activities – Including craft, face-painting, inflatables, train rides and games with Fairy Emma. 80+ Stalls from the Emu Plains Market on the Foreshore. FREE BBQ Breakfast provided by the Hastings 1st Scouts (until they run out… so be early!)
10am – Official Proceedings – Ambassador address by Dr Bronwyn King, flag raising ceremony by the Tingara Navy Cadets and national anthem accompanied by the Westernport Regional Band
