Description
Booran Reserve is an award-winning playground located in Glen Huntly. Built on the old Caulfield Water Service Reservoir, the reserve has reused more than 95% of the existing site materials in the new construction.
The reserve houses one of the most impressive playgrounds I've ever seen. My kids can get lost for the whole day exploring all the nooks and crannies.
The main feature of the park is a massive 10-metre-high double dome rope climbing net with a slide. It's a bit challenging for smaller kids to climb, but the older kids love it.
The playground also has a giant bird’s nest swing, a dual flying fox with all abilities access seat, a 5-way swing, in-ground trampolines, a huge mouse wheel, a two-tiered sandpit and a water pump with gates flowing into a rock-lined trickle stream.
Next to the playground, there are basketball and netball rings, a multi-purpose hit up wall and picnic shelters that you can reserve.
The main water play area is a fun space for kids to cool off and splash around in summer. The water sprays upwards in various patterns and at different times.
