Explore Ancient Egypt for Kids at NGV, a free exhibition from 14 June to 6 October 2024 at NGV International. Coinciding with the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces® exhibition, Pharaoh at NGV International, this interactive kids' exhibition promises to engage young visitors and their families.
Featuring ancient Egyptian objects from NGV’s Collection, including a decorated coffin lid over 2,500 years old, the exhibition transforms the space with gold walls and floor-to-ceiling hieroglyphs. Families will also encounter an inscribed stone slab depicting a family worshipping, offering insight into ancient Egyptian customs and beliefs. In a specially designed play zone, kids can engage in hands-on activities such as building pyramid formations with blocks, providing entertainment and learning experiences.
