Description

Explore Churchill Island, an island-off-an-island located just off Phillip Island (Millowl) boasting spectacular views of Western Port and rolling fields with free-roaming farm animals.

Start your visit by exploring the heritage farm precinct with early European buildings, Victorian gardens and farm activities to experience including cow milking, whip cracking, blacksmithing and sheep steering. Soak in the panoramic views with a coffee at the Churchill Island cafe then take a stroll around the North Loop Trail to see ancient Moonah trees and internationally recognised wetlands protected under the Ramsar Protection Project.

Every visit to Churchill Island protects nature for wildlife. It means Phillip Island Nature Parks researchers' can continually monitor the endangered Eastern Barred Bandicoot released onto Churchill Island in 2017 to ensure its survival into the future.

Phillip Island Nature Parks staff proudly manage 25% of Phillip Island including bushland and wetland reserves, beaches and coastlines including Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Reserve, Churchill Island and The Nobbies.
