Description
Karwarra Australian Native Botanic Garden is a hidden gem spanning two hectares, showcasing over 1,400 species of native plants. Established in 1965, it’s one of the few public gardens dedicated exclusively to native flora, providing visitors with inspiration for incorporating these plants into their own landscapes.
The garden also features a retail plant nursery, where knowledgeable staff can help you select plants suited to your needs. Managed by the Council with the support of the 'Friends of Karwarra' group, the garden also offers a small function room for community groups. Nearby, the Kalorama Memorial Reserve provides BBQ facilities and picnic tables, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely day out.
