Where is the Green Sheep?

A much-loved Australian children’s classic is coming to life on stage, with Where is the Green Sheep? bringing Judy Horacek and Mem Fox’s beloved picture book to the Playhouse stage at Arts Centre Melbourne.

Based on the iconic book that has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide, this colourful and immersive theatre experience invites young audiences to join a playful adventure to find the one sheep who remains missing, the elusive Green Sheep.

Created through a collaboration between Monkey Baa Theatre Company, Judy Horacek and Arts Centre Melbourne, the stage adaptation combines puppetry, animation and visual storytelling to transform the much-loved pages into a magical theatrical experience.

Follow three farmers on their surprising quest as they meet a cast of delightful characters along the way, Blue Sheep who loves blue flowers, Red Sheep who cartwheels through the fields, Bath Sheep surrounded by bubbles and Bed Sheep who loves to bounce. But after all the fun and games, one question remains… where is the Green Sheep?
