Family fun at the 2023 Tesselaar Tulip Festival
With the warmth of spring just around the corner, get ready to embrace the 2023 Tesselaar Tulip Festival. From 16 September to 15 October 2023, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival will have more than a million spring flowering bulbs on show, including over 900,000 Tulips. Families can enjoy live entertainment, delicious food and much more.

The Tesselaar family arrived in Victoria 66 years ago, their tulip farm has grown from humble beginnings to one of the most beautiful Tulip farms in Australia. With slopping paddocks covered with vividly defined tulips of all imaginable colours, some crisp-edged and some frayed. There are over 130 different varieties, with almost a million tulips across 25 acres.
The 2023 Tesselaar Tulip Festival showcases a variety of special celebrations over four weeks including:
Turkish Weekend
16 – 17 September 2023
A colourful and exciting weekend where we celebrate the origin of the tulip and Turkish culture.
Children’s Week’s (School Holidays)
18 – 21 & 25 – 28 September 2023
Treat the kids to a day of adventure amongst the brilliant colour of the Tulips, with the bonus that all kids 16 and under can visit the festival for free. An awesome lineup of family fun including Live Interactive Experiences with Bluey and Bingo week one of the holidays and Peppa and George Pig ‘Taking Turns’ live stage show week two.
Dutch Weekend
22 – 24 September 2023
Grab your clogs and come out to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival as it transforms into a mini-Holland with historical demonstrations and clog dancing.

Food, Wine and Jazz Weekend
29 September – 1 October 2023
The festival will be open over the long weekend, so come tap your toes to music while indulging in delicious Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges foods and beverages. The entry includes complimentary tastings from some amazing boutique wineries, distilleries and breweries.
Spring Fever Weeks
2 – 5 & 9 – 12 October 2023
This is a great time to enjoy a day out in the tulips, with daily entertainment and kids’ activities. Tickets are specially discounted for these weeks only.
Rock The Fields Weekend
6 – 8 October 2023
Put your dancing shoes on and enjoy some rocking tunes in the blooms, with live music from the 50s and 60s and funky food trucks.
Irish Weekend
13 – 15 October 2023
It is time to get out and enjoy spring while the tulips continue to bloom! As you sit back and enjoy a Guinness or Kilkenny, the festival will have top musical entertainment on two different stages alongside Irish Dancing and Leprechauns.
