Melbourne International Comedy Festival

This year the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is back bigger than ever with tons of kid-friendly entertainment. Running from 24 March until 18 April 2021 at various locations around Melbourne. The Festivals’ treasured ‘free’ family program includes The (Very) Big Laugh Out at Fed Square and Melbourne Museum. Ticketed events for families and kids include Sean Choolburra’s Didj and Dance, Comedy Club for Kids and over 20 more shows.

Mr Stink

David Walliams’ award-winning book Mr Sink, will come to life on stage at Bunjil Place during these School Holidays. It all starts when Chloe, just about the loneliest girl in the world, makes friends with Mr Stink, the local tramp. Sure he smells a bit, but he’s the only person who’s ever been nice to her. So, when Mr Stink needs a place to stay, Chloe decides to hide him in the garden shed. 

Now Chloe’s got to make sure no one finds out her secret, but she’s about to learn that some secrets have a way of leading to disaster.

Hamlet: Prince of Skidmark

The Listies will be bringing their very cheeky, very clever, utterly irreverent riff on Shakespeare’s classic Hamlet: Prince of Skimark to Arts Centre Melbourne as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The Listies, maestros of children’s entertainment, have pulled apart Shakespeare’s classic and glued it back together with hilarious costumes, loads of silliness and plenty of interactivity with the young people in their audiences.

Little Food Festival

Young foodies will be treated to a jam-packed program of fun-filled and free activities, workshops and performances at this year’s Little Food Festival

The festival will be split into six activity zones, with fun things to do in each zone themed around an element of the food system: from growing food to moving it, buying it, cooking it, eating, and disposing or reusing it sustainably.
