St Kilda Festival is back with a celebration of summer and local music, set against the spectacular natural beauty of the St Kilda foreshore. The free festival will take place from 18 – 19 February 2023 and will showcase a huge line-up of family-friendly entertainment and activities.

Day 1 – First Peoples First

On Saturday 18 February 2023, the St Kilda Festival will showcase a line-up of First Peoples’ talent including ARIA-award-winning icon Christine Anu, a tribute to Archie Roach with his band and special guests, Lady Lash, Jem Cassar-Daley, Singing Our Futures presented by the Archie Roach Foundation, Jungaji, Dean Brady and Loren Ryan all taking to the Main Stage.

The traditional Big Festival on Sunday 19 February 2023 will feature the much-loved 80s rock band Hoodoo Gurus, and indie electro-pop band Confidence Man, along with Yothu Yindi, Genesis Owusu, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Inkrewsive, Jacoténe, Singing Our Futures, plus last year’s winner of the New Music Competition Devy after the day kicks off with 9.30 am Disco Yoga.

O’Donnell Gardens Precinct

The O’Donnell Gardens will host an exciting blend of live entertainment with everything from soul to psych, from rock to pop. There will also be some colourful pop-up activities for kids to enjoy, including:

Afro Dancehall Workshop

Jump into the exciting Afro x Dancehall Dance workshop for kids and families. Watch a showcase of modern African dance styles and Dancehall dance from some of Melbourne’s top Afro Dance and Dancehall Dancers.

Indigenous Outreach Projects (IOP) are a culturally diverse national collective with highly developed skills sharing a common goal. Focusing on showcasing their passion to connect with community, especially youth, engaging them through music and dance. Performing at Cleve Gardens on Fitzroy St.

Tim Tim bubble cart will turn garden areas during the festival into magical wonderlands and the kids will go bananas! Monster bubbles, medium bubbles, smoke-filled bubbles and Multiverse millions of joined bubble foam.
