Since 1955, the Myer Christmas Windows have been a central part of Melbourne’s festive season, delighting families with their detailed storytelling and creative design. To celebrate the 70th anniversary, Myer has teamed up with LEGO® Masters judge Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught to create one of the most imaginative displays to date.

This year’s Myer Christmas Windows tell a heartwarming story — The LEGO® Christmas Story, following a child’s handwritten letter to Santa as it travels from Melbourne to the North Pole. The six colourful displays are full of festive detail, clever LEGO® creations, and plenty of Aussie touches for kids to spot along the way.
The journey begins in Window One – A Month Before Christmas, set at the Melbourne Post Office. Here, children post their letters to Santa, each one sparkling with wishes and glitter. An elf secretly collects the letters, hops on his bike, and pedals off toward the North Pole, narrowly avoiding a swooping magpie on the way!
In Window Two – The Mail Room, the letters arrive at Santa’s busy headquarters, where elves sort them into naughty and nice.

Window Three – The Workshop shows the elves hard at work bringing wishes to life. From teddy bears to shiny red bikes, the toys are crafted with care and a touch of magic as the big night draws near.
Inside Window Four – Santa’s Study, Santa sits by candlelight, checking his famous list — twice, of course! Surrounded by letters and cookies from Mrs. Claus.
In Window Five – The Wrapping Room, the elves giggle and chat as bright paper and ribbons whirl around the room. With the help of the “Wrap-o-Matic,” they transform toys into beautifully wrapped presents, ready to be delivered around the world.

Window Six – Christmas Eve shows Santa flying high above Melbourne, his sleigh gliding past the MCG and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Down below, the city sparkles with light and music as he calls out, “Merry Christmas from Myer and the LEGO® Group — see you next year!”
We loved this year’s display. Each window features fun and colourful scenes, with Australian animals like magpies, snakes and koalas hidden throughout, and carefully built LEGO® sculptures that tell the story. It continues a Melbourne tradition that families enjoy each Christmas.

The 2025 windows are made from a remarkable 488,215 LEGO® pieces, designed by LEGO® artists from around the world. The project took more than 12 months of planning and 1,700 hours of work, led by John Kerr from Stage One, who has produced the Myer Christmas Windows for over three decades.
Adding to the festive fun, the display features narration by comedian Hamish Blake, guiding visitors through each scene with warmth and humour.
