Reports by Sport Australia relay that only 19% of Aussie kids are meeting the recommended guideline of 1 hour of physical activity per day. With 2 in 3 Australians over the age of 18 being overweight or obese, it is important to address health issues from a young age. Exercise is essential for kids, providing many physical and mental health benefits, but it doesn’t need to be boring, and that is where indoor obstacle courses like Ninja Parc can come in.

Ninja Parc offers 20+ obstacles to test your ninja skills. Kids can tackle individual obstacles or complete the entire course. The main course has been designed for older kids (6 years +), there are height boxes to stand on for smaller kids to access certain areas. For the little kids, some mini-sized obstacles are still great fun to run around on. The warped wall has three height levels to try, a Ninja Parc team member can give little kids a hand reaching the top. Once at the top, there’s even a red buzzer to push like the one on Australia Ninja Worrier.

So what is so good about indoor obstacle courses?

It’s fun

Kids like to channel their heroes, so why not let them pretend that they are Olivia Vivien soaring over the obstacles with some fun and a unique experience.

It levels the playing field

As each obstacle poses a different set of challenges, some kids will do well in some areas and be challenged by others. Few children can master every obstacle, which makes it less daunting for those who are still improving when it comes to their physical skills.

Builds coordination

Obstacles that require your body to move in many ways to conquer them help your kids build coordination as well as mind-muscle connections. Conquering obstacles is a great way to practice for other activities such as athletics, school sport, handball, and more. The earlier your kids start honing these skills, the better as it facilitates confidence in their ability and fine motor skills.

Obstacle courses are the gold standard when it comes to exercise, as they tap into the very essence of childhood: play, adventure, discovery and imagination.
