If your kids share the same enthusiasm for LEGO® as mine do, they are sure to love The Art of the Brick Immersive Experience at Melbourne Showgrounds. While LEGO® is already a fantastic hobby for keeping kids engaged, this exhibition offers something special. Nathan Sawaya’s dedication and skill as a LEGO® creator shine through in the remarkable display of LEGO® creations.

The Art of the Brick Immersive Experience features 10 themed rooms showcasing over 100 contemporary artworks, meticulously crafted from more than one million LEGO® bricks. From endangered species and human figures to larger-than-life masks and cutting-edge technology, this exhibition offers something for every LEGO® enthusiast!
Each room features an impressive collection of LEGO® creations, including a giant version of Sawaya’s most famous sculpture, ‘Yellow’, standing over six feet tall, a life-sized brick rendition of F1 driver Lando Norris’ 2024 helmet and seven lifelike human sculptures, each representing a colour of the rainbow.

One highlight for me was the remarkable installation of 250 kinetic LEGO® skulls, animated by a display of LED lights and sound. Equally impressive was the endangered animal room, where the world’s most iconic species were recreated in LEGO® and projected within their natural habitats.
Date: from 14 April 2024
Duration: leave around 45 to 60 minutes to walk around the exhibition
Location: Melbourne Showgrounds. Epsom Road, Ascot Vale VIC
