Across November and into summer, the Coldstream and Wandin East orchards welcome guests to pick their own cherries straight from the tree. Visitors can settle in for the day with a picnic on the grounds or enjoy treats from the on-site café, including cherry ice cream, refreshing drinks, and freshly baked cherry goodies. The farmgate store also offers a range of cherry products to take home.

Family fun at CherryHill Blossom Festival

CherryHill grows more than 40 varieties of premium sweet cherries across the Yarra Valley, Murray Valley, Goulburn Valley and the Victorian High Country. Throughout the season, cherries can be purchased at the two farmgate stores or found at local supermarkets and fresh fruit grocers. Each box is packed with fruit chosen at the right time for flavour and quality.

Cherry-Picking FAQs — CherryHill Orchards

1. When is cherry-picking season?
Cherry-picking runs from early November 2025 through to January 2026.

2. Do I need to buy a ticket?
Yes — tickets are required for cherry-picking sessions. You must arrive at your allocated timeslot.

3. Can I turn up and buy a ticket at the gate?
Not on weekends or public holidays; tickets must be purchased online in advance. 

4. What’s included in the ticket price?
Your ticket includes unlimited fresh cherries to eat while picking during your two-hour session. At the end of your session, any cherries you picked will be charged per kilo. 

5. Can I park at the orchard?
Yes, there is free on-site parking and designated pick-up/drop-off zones.

6. What should I wear and bring?
Wear closed-toe, comfortable shoes because the ground can be uneven. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a waterproof coat or umbrella, and your ticket (either printed or on your phone). 

7. Can I bring a picnic or food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic. Just note — no cooking equipment like BBQs or stoves is allowed. On weekends, food vendors are available on-site, and the café serves cherry ice cream and cherry-based treats. 

8. Are dogs allowed?
No — except during the Blossom Festival and Bloom & Graze events.
Registered assistance animals are always welcome.

9. Can we take photos or film in the orchard?
Guests are welcome to take personal photos. However, unapproved aerial photography or videography is not allowed. 

10. What happens if it rains?
The cherry-picking session will go ahead — rain or shine.

11. What cherry varieties do you grow?
CherryHill Orchard grows over 40 varieties, including Royal Dawn, Regina, Nordwunder, Sylvia, Bing, and Sweet Georgia. Availability depends on the orchard location and seasonal conditions.
