Goldfish

Can a goldfish save the world? Goldfish is a bold new work exploring theatre’s role in times of crisis. A solo puppeteer spins a fable for children. We hear a story of people who get rid of time: no night, no day. This creates a flood, devastating the land. But when two disaster recovery workers suddenly burst into the theatre, fiction becomes fact and a new story demands to be told.

Price: General: $40, Reduced: $25, BLAKTIX: $15

Shadows in Twin Cities (쌍둥이 도시의 그림자들)

Shadows in Twin Cities connects children from Jeonju and Melbourne through playful, wordless interactions with their urban landscapes.

In Meet Me (너랑 나랑), participants use life-size live video to communicate without words, then imagine their new friend exploring their city by ‘flying’ their traced body in the wind. Watch Me Fly (바람을 만난 그림자) projects video footage of children playing with each other’s shadows on large public screens, offering a child’s perspective in adult-dominated spaces. In Find My Shadow (그림자 숨바꼭질), Melbourne children search for hidden Hanji shadows around Fed Square.
